New Business.
Budget 2010 FY -Proposed budget is as follows
Personnel Services 600
Snow removaUSanding 15,000
Repairs & Maintenance 25,000
Grading/Ditching 3,000
Support Goods & Services 200
Total 43,800
Financial: At this time we have close to $15,000 in reserves (Fund Balance). And we
would like to build these up for emergencies. The last flood cost close to $7,654 and we
are still getting these bills. Snow removal for January was almost $4,000 and the snow
season is not over yet. Our objective to bring the roads up to Borough Code is still on the
forefront, but we don't plan to work to far down our priority list this year to build up
some reserves. We are at 51% of last years budget and still have close to two more
months on FY 2008-09. Also because of billing issues $14,000 was moved from our fund
balance last year.
Road Maintenance Work Plan FY 2010: Objectives for the year are to start where we
left off. Marmott needs to be finished up with ditching, the guard rail repairs, and look at
adding fill above last new culvert added at the end. Mt. View needs to be capped on top
to move the drainage towards the hillside ditch. Drainage issues need to be addressed at
the bottom of Three Sisters and the bottom of the road needs to be built up.
Board Comments:
Chaz Glagolich -The top of Mt. View is a time sensitive issue. Since the grader and the
residents have figured out the best approach, the road itself still tends to bottleneck
towards the top. Still snow needs to make it to where we brushed half way down between
the residents. We would like to shoot for as close to Borough Codes as possible.
Randy Spivey -Has concerns about the billing -particularly the bills for the resident's
culvert that have been put in some time ago. This could possibly be a little help to our
budget and needs to happen before people forget or move on.
2
Drew DeVries - is working on getting the bills out for the culvert. Just recently we got
the pricing down. Now we can do some measuring and send it off to the Borough. Next
meeting are scheduled for May. 16' (spring aralk-around 10-2), S~e~emhe~ 23~, and
Novertt6u 11" (Bath at Bayside Pine Station).
Darlene Turner -The surge pond cost us approximately $8,000. And it cost Darlene
close to $13,000. She purposes inviting the pond committee and the Borough Engineer to
a special meeting in the middle of April. Finally, thanks to everyone for showing up.
