BOROUGH CLERK'S OFFICE
Members Present -Chris Lynch, David Conrad, Spencer Schaeffer, Russ Toms, Tom
Demi, Kevin Riddle
Guests -Dale Rice, ex-officio
Citizen's Comments -none.
Approval of Minutes -December 8 meeting minutes were approved as submitted.
Old Business
Fire Department -Status of new fire truck. No new news. The material to install
the tank has been purchased.
Road District -Snow removal has improved greatly.
Chris reported that the KIB is not going to be moving the Sargeant Creek
dumpsters back anytime soon. She did request the KIB to have the roll-off on the
S. Russian Creek more often.
New Business
Fire Department -The Board motioned and approved that no more than $1000 be
spent for laminate, coat hooks and plywood to build new cabinets for gear.
Dale mentioned that the city would be getting new dispatchers and encoded
pagers. This would affect us if we were dispatched by the city. "Project 25" is
also coming in the future.
The LEPC plan lists Womens Bay Fire Hall as a shelter - we cannot meet that
need. Dale will draft a letter to send to the LEPC voicing our concerns.
Road Service Area -Land Disposal -The board has received comment from the
Womens Bay Community Council regarding the Fairgrounds property being
disposed of. The Service District has never requested the property for use, just
that the property be included in the Fire District. We took no action just wanted
to get the story straight.
The Board has requested that the property next to the pond and across from the
fire station be retained by the KIB for future expansion.
