CE,R -IFIEQ BY: Mr. Jack Mann Mr. Reed E. Oswalt Mr. Larry Shorb Mr. Lou Iani Mr. John Lucas K MANN, CHAIRMAN Prior to the meeting being called to order, Mr. Lou Iani and Mr. John Lucas were sworn in as Members by the Clerk of the Board. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jack Mann at 7:03 P.M. in the Borough Assembly Chambers. A quorum was established. III ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN - 1980 Mr. Reed Oswalt moved that Jack Mann remain Chairman of the Board, seconded by Lou Iani. Mr. Oswalt then moved that nominations be closed, seconded by John Lucas. Motion that nominations close was passed by unanimous voice vote. Main motion that Mr. Mann remain Chairman for 1980 passed by unanimous voice vote. IV APPEAL NO. 1 - Mrs. Geneva Hans Mrs. Geneva Hans, Kodiak Townsite, Lot 13, Block 14. Mrs. Hans pre- sented her reasons for appeal, along with pictures of the property. Mr. Haney, Assessor - Appraisor for the Borough presented his informa- tion. Mrs. Hans gave her rebuttal. Mr. Lucas moved for an executive session to discuss the matter, seconded by Mr. Oswalt, motion carried by unanimous voice vote. Meeting resumed at 7:45 P.M. Mr. Shorb moved to accept the Assessor's valuation, seconded by Mr. Oswalt. Motion carried 4 to 1, with Mr. Lucas casting one No vote. V APPEAL NO. 2 - Mr. William Glynn, East Addition, Lot 8, Block 34. Mr. Glynn was not represented. The Assessor read Mr. Glynn's appeal into the record, then stated the Borough's reasons for the assessment. Mr. Oswalt moved to discuss the appeal in an open session, seconded by Mr. Lucas. Discussion followed. Mr. Lucas moved to accept the Assessor's appraisal, seconded by Mr. Shorb. Motioned carried by unanimous voice vote. VI Prior to adjournment, Chairman Mann asked that before the next Board of Equalization meeting, that an information work session be set up, with information regarding the appeals, so that they may be discussed prior and an opportunity to inspect the property before formal decisions be made.
