at 7:30 P.NI. in the jury roan, Magistrate Court, Donnelly BuilcLixig, Kodiak, Alaska.
Presiding officer Russell C~3right called the meeting to order at 7:55 P.P1.

Laura Olsen, U.S.S. 1672: The appellant in this case is asking for a
reduction in assessment. A discussion was held betiu~een board members, appellant
counnsel and Assessor. Values, location, carq~arisons with like properties wpxe
reviewed and the appellant counsel was excused for decision later in precx~eaings
by board after their review.

Case # 3 -
Qnar Stratman: Protesting grazing lease assessment and right to assess:
The appellant, speaking in his own behalf presented his case to the board..
A discussion was held after which t~;r. Stratman was excused.

~rartman and tqr. Zentner) be advised of their rights by a letter fran
the Borov~gh Attorney, ~Y r`~clsen, and that they pay their tax under
protest and appeal to the courts if they so desire." I`btion carried
on roll call vote.
Appellant to be advised on his petition by letter from Borough Attorney.
Case # 4 -
Joseph Zentner: Protesting the right of Borough Assessor to assess his
~~~~pyi interest: The appellant was represented by John Cole, Borough Assessor
who presented the case of Mr. Zentner. In essence the case is parallel to Air.
Stratmans. A short discussion followed.
DECISION: r;r. Lester moved, seconded by Mrs. Hajdu that, "they (N3r.
Stratman and I:r. Zentner) be advised of their rights b'Y a letter from
the Borough Attorney, Ray I~9adsen, anc~ that they pay their tax under
protest and appeal to the courts if they so desire." rbticn carried.
Appellant to be advised on his petition by letter from borough Attorney.

Representec by Dic]c Fischer, professional Appraiser: A presentation was
made supported,.:y dociurentary schedules etc., protesting appraisal of
Fsorough Assessor and pleading relief ann reduction of appraisal. Along
and detailed discussion followed.

CASE # 2 -
Edna Draft, Holiday Island: Appellant in this case asked that the assessed
value of her property, holiday Island, be reduceri. i~~r. John Cole, the
Assessor presented two letters from appellant protesting values as assessed
and giving reasons. I~~r. Cole spoge for appellant in her absencc;e anu being
without representation. A ocrnplete review and discussion followed between
the board m~m~ers anti t~:r. Cole corioerning said case.

values of buildings stanc. as appraised. Sec:o~rx3ed by T~irs . Iiajdu, motion
carried urianinbusly by roll call vote.
