Call to Order
O1air A1tenhoff called to order the R9g.Jlar Meeting of the SNABat 5:15pm on May 29,2008.

L Fblito asked the Ek>ard to oome on "Talk of the R>ck" radio show. It is held every Friday
morning 9am -10am.

For The creation of a A.Jblic R3lations' Education Fbsition to Address All K1B
Departmental Needs.

O1air A1tenhoff stated there has been much di9JJssion at previous work sessions regarding the
need for a A.Jblic ~Iations' Education position. He handed out to the Ek>ard a Draft Document
of issues that this position will have to address. S3e attached.
It was Moved, E Mahoney and seoonded that the Ek>ard make reoommendation to the Ek>rough
Assembly the need for the creation of a A.Jblic ~Iations' Education position to address all K1B
departmental needs.
Di9JJssion followed and g)me points were what additional departments were going to benefit
by this position, which of the issues will be brought up in the Bell ~port, possibly request the
Ek>rough to provide funding to get active in the public education process instead of hiring a new
employee.
Motion carried by a R>II call Vote with B. A1tenhoff, F. Holm, M. ONen and R AllansvotingYes
and E Mahoney voting No.' E Mahoney called for Fbint of O'der and asked to change his vote
to the other side. He stated he will bring this back before the Ek>ard at the next meeting. He
a1g) stated he would fill out the paperwork. B. A1tenhoff asked if there was anything that they
needed to do immediately. B. A1tenhoff said okay, it's been noted and E Mahoney's vote was
changed.
b. Cbnsensusof Ek>ard Members to Make R3oommendation to K1BAssemblyto
R3move Oty Dumpsters.
B. A1tenhoff read a letter from C Tracy with Alaska Waste regarding removal of public
dumpsters inside Oty Umits.
Di9JJssion followed and it was Moved, E Mahoney and seoonded to Table the R3oommedation
until SNAB next regular meeting. Motion carried by a R>II call Vote.
c. Section of Vice - O1air
It was Moved, E Mahoney and seoonded to elect F. Holm as Vice - O1air. Motion O:irrjed by a
R>II call Vote.
