2003-05-20 Regular Meeting </SO Women's Bay Service Area Board Regular Meeting Minutes May 20, 2003 CALL TO ORDER 7: 10 pm Members Present - Kevin Riddle, Ed Gondek, Chris Lynch, David Conrad. Citizen's Comments - None. Approval of Minutes - Minutes from the April 17 meeting were approved as submitted. Old Business Fire Department . Fire truck is repaired . Specs have been turned in again to Facilities Engineering; waiting for advertising . Received new Scott Packs . FEMA Grant was submitted . What do we do with the old fire truck? Keep as reserve engine Sell to help payoff new truck Sell to a village 17 Road Service Area . Bells Flats Rd. needs to be graded. . Service District contract bids in May, . New Business Womens Bay Comp Plan Input - We need to include the extension of the fire service area and be advised of any future development when KIB acquires or sells property. We discussed being able to comment on these issues and have assurance of enforcement of existing KIB codes. Discussed draft memo to KIB regarding surplus property in the Service District area, Road Service Area Work order list for the summer . Tree cutting - needs to be finished. · Ditch cleaning @ Madsen's needs to be added to work list. · Brushing on the asphalt plant side of the road starting @ the "y" . Grade the roads . Sweeping . Culvert @ Birch Circle Fire Department Dave requested a NTE of $1500 for 8 each jiffy pop hats and 1 dual probe thermometer as our commitment toward the City's flashover trailer. Motion passed. Volunteers will train later in June for flashover training, Light bar was received incomplete and additional components need to be ordered or we can send the bar back and get the right thing. Board moved to send the bar back. Dave will send letter of support to the State for AEDS, Board approved renewing the NFP A membership. Meeting was adjourned at 9 p.m. Next Meeting - June 16,20033.
