Engineering Services for the Island Lake
Park Road Project
SUMMARY STATEMENT
Rolland A. Jones, Consulting Engineer, of Kodiak, Alaska,
has submitted a proposal for Professional Engineering
Services to design the proposed Island Lake Park Road
Project. This project will provide access to the Boy Scout
site leased by the Elks and also some residents located in
the vicinity of Dark and Island Lakes. Recommend award of
the Island Lake Park Road project design to Rolland A.
Jones, Consulting Engineer, in an amount not to exceed
$9,500.00.

This letter is our proposal to furnish engineering services
for the referenced project as requested in your December 19,
1991, letter.
Engineering services would be provided as follows:
1. Design and prepare construction plans for the
referenced project with study and consideration
given to the drainage, power poles, driveways, power
poles and other topographic data located during the
project surveys. Plans will be prepared on mylar at
a scale of 1" = 20' unless otherwise requested.
2. A minimum of four (4) test holes will be examined to
provide project soils data.
3. Compute quantities, prepare basic bid sheets and a
construction cost estimate for project bidding
purposes.
4. The plans will reference the Standard Construction
Specifications of the Kodiak Island Borough.
Special provisions and details will be prepared as
required to supplement the above standards.
5. Surveys will be provided at a cost not to exceed
$2,000.00 (Only one survey proposal has been
received as of this date).
6. The proposed design fee for
$7,500.00. The Preliminary
