Design Fee Proposal & Scope
Please find attached a fee proposal for design documents for the Port Lions School Painting Project. The
project will consist of preparation and repainting of the existing Port Lions School, including wood siding and
trim as well as misc. metal mechanical hoods, louvers and equipment. The design documents will include new
notations on the existing, scaled PDF drawings of the school.
Exclusions & Notes:
• Replacement of any architectural items, including doors, flashings, roofings, etc., is not anticipated.
Some flashing will be added to deflect water at the roof valleys.
• Painting of pre -finished items, including doors, windows, flashings, and roofing, is not anticipated.
• Replacement or treatment of rotten / deteriorated siding is not anticipated. The rotten wood trim at
grade will be replaced.
• Painting of other buildings on the site, is not included.
• The documents will be based on information gathered by KIB. Site visits by the design team are not
anticipated.
• Limited CA services—including submittal review and RFI responses—are included on a Time &
Materials basis. On-site observations and inspections are not included with the assumption this work
will be done by KIB staff.
