Assembly Special Meeting
August 31, 2021
A special meeting of the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly was held on August 31, 2021, in the
Assembly Chambers 710 Mill Bay Road of the Kodiak Island Borough Building, 710 Mill Bay
Road. The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
Present were Mayor Bill Roberts, Assembly members Scott Arndt, Julie Kavanaugh, Geoffrey
Smith, Dennis Symmons, James Turner, and Aimee Williams. Also present were Borough
Manager Michael Powers and Borough Clerk Alise Rice.

Consideration of matters in the call for the special meeting.
Assembly Discussion Of Applicants For The One Year Term Left Vacant By
Mr. Dvorak.
The assembly voted by secret ballot and appointed Joseph Delgado for the one year
term left vacant by Mr. Dvorak.
Mayor Roberts instructed the Borough Clerk to contact the appointee and deliver the
oath of office prior to the regular meeting of September 2, 2021.

Clerk's Note: No motion was made to enter into executive session.
Adjournment.
ARNDT moved to adjourn the meeting.
VOICE VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
