AN ORDINANCE OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH AMENDING
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH CODE TITLE 2 AMINISTRATION AND PERSONNEL, CHAPTER
2.10 APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES, SECTION
2.10.030 COMPENSATION FOR REGULATORY AND QUASI-JUDICIAL BOARDS AND
COMMISSIONS
WHEREAS, the compensation for members of regulatory and quasi-judicial boards and
commissions has not been adjusted since 2010; and
WHEREAS, the Assembly finds that it is appropriate to increase the compensation for persons
serving on adjudicatory boards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that:
Section 1: This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become a part of the
Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances.
Section 2: That Section 2.10.030 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances is amended
to read as follows:
2.10.030 Compensation for regulatory and quasi-judicial boards and commissions.
A. Members of regulatory and quasi-judicial boards and commissions shall receive
compensation in the amount of $400-.GG175.00 per meeting attended, with the exception of the
planning and zoning commission, which shall receive $200.00 per month. Work sessions are not
considered for compensation.
B. Regulatory and quasi-judicial boards and commissions include the planning and zoning
commission, the board of equalization, and such others as the assembly may designate by
ordinance.
Effective Date: This ordinance takes effect upon adoption. (Note KIBC 2.30.070 states an
ordinance takes effect upon adoption or at a later date specified in the ordinance.)
