FY2026-04 A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH DESIGNATING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT DIRECTOR CHRIS FRENCH AS THE TEMPORARY ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICIAL DURING THE ABSENCE OR DISABILITY OF THE BOROUGH MANAGER AND THE DESIGNATED ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICIAL WHEREAS, it is essential to establish a definitive procedure for administration to address emergencies or urgent matters during the absence or disability of the Borough manager and the designated administrative official; and WHEREAS, a temporary administrative official is necessary when both Manager and the designated administrative official are unable to fulfill the duties of the Manager's position; and WHEREAS, Borough Manager Aimee Williams nominates Community Development Department Director Chris French to serve as the temporary administrative official during the concurrent absence or disability of both the manager and the designated administrative official. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH that Community Development Director Chris French is officially designated and confirmed to fulfill the role of manager in the absence or disability of both the manager and the designated administrative official. He will perform the official duties outlined in KIBC 2.45.100 and compensated as specified in KI BC 2.45.110. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution becomes effective on August 21, 2025.
