FIRE PROTECTION AREA #1
ADVISORY BOARD
PRESENT: BILL WEVER, SCOTT ARNDT, HORACE SIMMONS, CHIEF SMITH
Meeting called to order at 7:35 p.m. on February 1, 1985 by Chairperson Scott Arndt.
Agenda: Approved as distributed
Minutes: Approved as written
Visitors: Randy Williams, Jim Beson, Dixon Ingram, Andy Nault.
Visitors comments: Discussion on lost pager presented. After much discussion
the board voted to leave policy and decision stand as
previously decided.
Question asked as to regular meeting date for board. Board
agreed that this was needed but in order to have a qurom the
last couple of months changes were necessary.
Question pertaining to number of volunteers that should be
allowed to serve on the board at one time. Board felt that
there needs to be repersentation from the community at large,
but board members are elected by the people and the problem
is in getting citizens to run for office.
Communications: Letter sent to Scott Arndt and service district pertaining to the
location of new hydrants.
Letter sent to John Vincent reminding him of bill for turnouts.
OLD BUSINESS: Training trailer; Arrangements are being made for moving
to station lot.
Chiefs report: Presented and accepted.
NEW BUSINESS: 1985-1986 Budget preperation; Pending preliminary to return
from finance director.
NEXT MEETING: February 22,
