BAYSIDE BOARD MEETING

PRESENT: Scott Arndt, Horace Simmons, Charles Lorenson, Chief Earl Smith,
Sid Cozart and Bill Swearingen.
AGENDA: ACCEPTED
VISITORS: Andy Nault and John Shank
MINUTES: Approved, after many changes - passed unanimously.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Workman's Comp expenses were discussed. Chains and Machinery should
be moved to Equipment and Machinery. The financial report was
accepted unanimously.
VOLUNTEER REPORT:
NONE
OLD BUSINESS:
Chief Smith stated - the fire truck of the City's was given to the
Sewage Treatment Plant. Sid Cozart made a motion to write a letter
to City of Kodiak concerning the truck given to the Sewage Trmt. Plant.
Charles Lorenson Seconded. Motion Carried. Scott Arndt wants to go
on record as being against this motion.
CHIEF'S REPORT:
1. Chief Smith discussed Port Lions Fire. He went over there to
inspect fire and the board discussed compensation.
2. New recruit program is under way with seven new recruits.
3. Chief Smith discussed the necessity of drill attendance.
4. Readjustment on price from Bill Swearingen from $400 to $150
with regard to the water softener.
5. Chief Smith discussed the installation of chains on fire trucks.
Gutter and Downspouts were installed on Fire Station. The Smoke
trailer is now complete.
6. Bill made the motion to reimburse John and Doug for their car
rental in Homer while attending the training classes. Scott Seconded.
Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
Bill Swearingen made motion to write a letter to the City Council for
a special work session. Sid Cozart seconded. Motion carried.
VISITORS COMMENTS
Andy Nault discussed the reoccuring problem with filling Scott bottles.
Scott Arndt leaves at 9:40 PM.
