Minutes of Meeting
PRESENT: Scott Arndt, Barbara Swearingin, Sid Cozart, Bill
Swearingin, Horace Simmons and Chief Smith.
Meeting was called to order at 7:53 p.m.
AGENDA: Approved
MINUTES: Barbara Swearingin approved minutes, Sid Cozart seconded,
and motion was carried.
VISITORS: Andy Nault
FINANCIAL REPORT: Acknowledge receipt of monthly financial report and approved.
Discussed the purchase of tires for pick-up truck.
VOLUNTEER REPORT: None
OLD BUSINESS: Motion made by Horace Simmons and seconded by Barbara Swearingin
to bid $2,651.00 for the old City Fire truck out to bid. Roll
call vote: Barbara Swearingin, Sid Cozart, Bill Swearingin, and
Horace Simmons - yes. Scott Arndt - no.
NEW BUSINESS:
CHIEF'S REPORT:
Bill Swearingin moved and Barbara Swearingin seconded to send
Sharon Nault, Doug Mathers and Sandy Mathers to the Fire
Conference.
Bill Swearingin moved and Sid Cozart seconded to send a letter
and statement to the Kodiak Island Borough regarding the fire
at the dump.
Board elections were brought up and discussed.
Sid Cozart moved and Bill Swearingin seconded to repair the
bay door. Costs are not to exceed $1,000.00.
Horace Simmons moved and Bill Swearingin seconded to install
gutters and downspouts at a cost, not to exceed, $300.00.
Discussion about batteries for beepers. Also, discussion
regarding repairs and inspections of hydrants belonging to
Service District No. 1.
