Minutes of Meeting
PRESENT: Horace Simmons, Sid Cozart, Barbara Swearingin, Scott Arndt,
and Chief Smith
Meeting called to order at 7:34 p.m. on May 26, 1987.
AGENDA: Approved
MINUTES: Sid Cozart moved to approve the minutes, Barbara Swearingin seconded.
Motion carried.
VISITORS: Andy Nault and John Shank
FINANCIAL
REPORT: Acknowledge receipt of monthly financial statement. It was noted
that an error is continuing on Workmen's Compensation.
VOLUNTEER
REPORT: None
CHIEF'S
REPORT: The Chief reported that the safety device in the hose tower is
installed. Also discussed was a dinner planned at the VFW on
June 6th.
OLD BUSINESS: It was agreed that a bid should be received for the purchase and
installation of a gutter on the front of the building.
The door on the truck stall is peeling. The bottom panel should
be replaced.
NEW BUSINESS: The Board directs officers and management to present costs with
plans for the expansion of the station.
A motion was made by Horace Simmons to hire a parttime employee
to paint the building and smoke building„ inspect hydrants, etc.
for 200 hours at $10.00 an hour. Sid Cozart seconded the motion.
Motion carried.
VISITOR'S
COMMENTS: It was brought up that the Fire Fighters Association will be holding
a picnic at Ft. Abercrombie on June 20th, starting at noon for
families and friends. It is free of charge.
