Minutes of Meeting
PRESET: Scott Arndt, Horace Simmons, Barbara Swearingin, Sid Cozart
and Chief Smith
Meeting called to order at 7:34 p.m. on April 28, 1987.
AGENDA: Approved
MINUTES: Correction on Visitor's Comments for meeting of March 31, 1987.
Minutes should read that Andy Nault requested a special call -out
fee for volunteers for special drills of burning buildings.
VISITORS: Andy Nault
FINANCIAL REPORT: Acknowledge receipt of monthly financial statement.
Scott Arndt discussed over -budget income.
VOLUNTEER REPORT: None
CHIEF'S REPORT: Chief Smith reported that the VCR training tapes had arrived.
He also discussed the need for repairs on the fire station.
OLD BUSINESS: Horace Simmons discussed the need for a physical fitness program
to be put into effect for fire volunteers.
NEW BUSINESS: A motion was made by Horace Simmons to prohibit smoking during
drills, sessions, and public meetings in training rooms and
restrooms. Motion seconded by Barbara Swearingin. Motion
carried unanimously.
A work meeting was planned for May 19, 1987, at 7:30 p.m.
A work session planned to continue after adjournment of this
meeting.
