FIRE PROTECTION AREA I - ADVISORY BOARD
MINUTES OF MEETING
PRESENT: Scott Arndt, Sid Cozart, Horace Simmons, Barbara Swearingin, and
Chief Smith.
Meeting called to order by Chairperson Scott Arndt at 7:40 p.m. on
January 27, 1987.
AGENDA: Approved
MINUTES: Approved
VISITORS: Andy Nault, Bill Weaver, Jim Swearingin, Sharon Swearingin, and Dixon.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Approved
VOLTRITEER REPORT: Dixon stated that there was no report.
OLD BUSINESS:
Horace Simmons said that there was no physical fitness report at
this time.
Motion was made by Horace Simmons to budget up to $6,500 for audio-visual
equipment and tapes. Seconded by Barbara Swearingin; motion carried.
CHIEF'S REPORT:
The yard light was installed by KEA and opinion of those present
was asked.
NEW BUSINESS:
Motion was made by Horace Simmons to make an Assistant Chief's
position. Seconded by Barbara Swearingin; motion carried.
James Swearingin's grievance was heard and debated by Board members.
Grievance was denied.
VISITOR'S COMMENTS:
Barbara Swearingin asked that we consider Jim Swearingin's travel
expenses to Anchorage for further training. Scott Arndt moved to
reimburse cost of travel. Horace Simmons seconded; motion carried.
