MINUTES OF MEETING

Meeting called to order at 7:41 PM on December 30, 1986, by Chairperson, Scott Arndt

FINANCIAL REPORT:
Acknowledge receipt of financial report.
Discussed Borough Audit concerning Earl Smith's unused benefits to unused funds
on the Budget. Water line installation expense on report to be discussed with
Borough.
Corrected insurance expense was discussed again.
Credit for Women's Bay Rental showing up on our financial report.
VOLUNTEER REPORT:
Horace Simmons brought to our attention that volunteer responses to fires have
reached a warning degree. If responses remain as the trend is showing our ISO
Rating will decrease. Recruitment was discussed.
OLD BUSINESS:
Station Sprinkler was put on hold but will be brought up at a later date to the
Borough.
Physical Fittness Program - Horace Simmons discussed physical fittness programs
for the volunteers to attend if wanted. Some places discussed where the volunteers
could attend are Doc's, Swimming Pool, Rec. Center. Horace will bring more
information concerning the prices.
Station water softner & pump was sold to the only bidder, Bill Swearingin for
Horace Simmons made the motion to sell to Bill Swearingin; Sid Cozart seconded;
motion carried.
CHIEF'S REPORT:
Discussion on Re -Siding of Mobile Home
Hose Tower to be remodeled
Values on Fire Engine
Division of Foresteries temporarily suspends all contracts.
NEW BUSINESS:
Vice Chairman, Horace Simmons was nominated - 3 Yeas
Sale of City Fire Engine - motion was made to send City of Kodiak a letter of
interest by Sid Cozart; Seconded by Bill Swearingin: Motion Carried.
Parking Lot Lighting - Motion was made to have Kodiak Electric install light on
power pole on Lot, by Bill Swearingin; Seconded by Horace Simmons - Motion Carried
Long Range Plans were discussed and meetings were planned for February 10 & 17,
1987 at 7:30 PM
Fire District Budget Format: Earl Smith will prepare a more detailed inter budget.
