Present: Scott Arndt-, Dill swe3ringin, Barbara Swearingin,
Horace Simmons, new beard member S d Cozart, and Chief
Smith.
Meeting called to order at 7:40 on Nov. ic, 198E by Chairperson
Scott Arndt.
Agenda: Approved.
Minutes: Approved.

Financial Report:
Acknowledge receipt of financial repor.- Note: Insurance
expenditure has been corrected excluding workmans comp.
Chief Smith authorized to excess water pumip, pressure tank
and water softener- for $400. or best offer.
Old Business:
Chiefs evaluation moved to later in meeting.
Reimbunsment to city for fire call assistance on structure
fires. 8hrs. @ $250. per hr. = $2000. Check to be cut for
payment.
Station sprinkler system proposal: $22,000. Horace Simmons
moved we go out for bids to sprinkle station, Bill Swearingin
seconded. Discussion, sprinkler system could reduce station
Insurance up to 50%. Horace Simmons amended original motion
to read request borough to engineer and prepare design for
fire station sprinkle system at our expense. Bill Swearingiri
seconded, motion carried. Letter to be sent to Borough
assembly.
Chiefs Report:
The board comended Andy Nault for work. on
Alaska State Firefighters Conference. The conference went
very well, with many good remarks by those attending from
other areas of the state. It was enjoyed and the vendors
were also pleased.
Horace Simmons moved we authorize expenditure of up to $750.
to plumb master stream appliance to engine it. bill
Swearingin seconded, motion carried.
Engine 12 leaks air, will need to recheck for leaks in
system.
New Business:
Election of officers: Chairperson; Horace Simmons and Scott
Arndt nominated. Vote; 4 - Scott.
1 - Horace.
Secretary; Sid Cozart nominated.
4 - Sid
1 - abstention.
New night set for meetings. Last tuesday of the month.
Next regular meeting December 30, 1986.
Horace Simmons to speak for fire service at the public
hearing for annexation into the city.
9:00 visitors Doug Mathers and Dixon Ingram.
Budget format: Chief spoke on the need to have the budget
work sheet more detailed.
Horace Simmons moved we adjourn. Bill Swearingin seconded, 4
against, motion not carried.
Horace Simmons moved to table the chie=s evaluation. Bill
Swearingin seconded, motion carried, + - 1.
Discussed new title 29.

Doug Mathers spoke on burn building and training safty.
