Planning and Zoning Commission Regular Meeting
May 21, 2025
A regular meeting of the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning Commission was held on
May 21, 2025, in the Borough Assembly Chambers. The meeting was called to order at 6:30
p.m. Staff present were Community Development Director Christopher French, Community
Development Permit Technician Bronwyn Currie, and Community Development Secretary III
Hailee Wallace.
CALL TO ORDER
Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.

Present were Cort Neff, Craig Dagen, Tracy Craig, Athenas Williamson, and Sean Cleary.
Dagen moved to excuse Sara Fraser from the May 21, 2025, Regular meeting.
Craig seconds motion.

Dagen moved to approve the agenda.
Cleary seconds motion.

PUBLIC HEARING
Case No. 25-008- Request Variance on parking to allow three (3) onsite parking
spaces, varying two (2) parking spaces off site.
Staff believes that this request meets all the conditions necessary for a variance to be granted
under KIBC 17.195.050 (Variance).
Williamson moved to approve Resolution FY2025-04A for Case 25-008.
Dagen seconds motion.
No vote was taken on original motion.
Craig moved to postpone the request variance on parking to the July meeting.
Dagen seconds motion.

Case No. 25-011- Amending various sections of the Kodiak Island Borough Code Title
17 Zoning to define Pet -Related Uses and Zoning Districts.
Dagen moved to adopt resolution FY2025-05.
Cleary seconds motion.
