1991-01-25 Regular MeetingMonashka Bay Road District Meeting of January 25, 1991 I. Meeting was called to Order at 7:15 PM. Members Present were ; Fox, Wattum, Blankenberg, and Ogg. Members Absent were; Doctorman II. The chairman opened the meeting to public comments and general dialogue. There was much discussion concerning the maintenance of the roads and the lack of money in the budget. There was much sentiment abvout being charged too much by the contractor in the winter of 1989-90. Some solutions were put forth by persons present. Shawn Dillion, a former commissioner felt the need for bylaws to be enacted. Mr. Dillion was appointed to come up with some bylaws for the next meeting. Dick Diemer felt the present contractor should be let go and that a new contractor should be hired. He suggested that A-K could do the work and should be hired. It was decided to let A-K know about the bid proposals that come out after July 1, 1991. III. The meeting was opened for public hearing on the annual budget for 1991-92. It was noted that the borough did not supply the Board with a budget form. The Board noted that the value of a mil increased as the property in the District had increased. The budget is now getting about $25,000.00 ON a mill levy of two mills. RESOLVED: THE BOARD MOVED TO KEEP THE MILL LEVY AT TWO (2) MILLS FOR 1991-92. Motion passed unanamously. The Board moved to allocate $13,400.00 for snow removal. The Board moved to allocate $12,000.00 for road maintenance. Both motions passed unanamously. IV. The next meeting date was set for Wednesday, March 7, 1991 7:00 pm. at the Bayside Fire Station. V. Meeting adjourned at 8:50 pm. Chairman, ��oel Wattum
