Mrs. Walters moved the minutes of the meeting of November 6,
1991, be approved. Seconded by Mr. Milligan, the motion
passed unanimously.
2. Mr. Camardella introduced Mr. Hettich, of Kumin
Associates. Together, they discussed the High School
Alteration Phase II, 30% plans. Basically the alterations
are being made to accommodate the number of incoming
students in the next few years.
There are three areas of concern addressed by Phase II of
the alterations: the current home economics room will be
turned into 3 classrooms, the current "weight" room will
become the home economics room; an area between the
basketball court bleachers and the pool observation windows
will become additional gym area; and a mezzanine will be in
the Maintenance Facility which will free up janitorial
storage areas for future development.
Discussion centered on details of the drawings. The home
economics area will have space for a child care/parenting
unit as well as the traditional units. In the new gym area,
discussion focused on the suitability of "rubber" Mondo
flooring with the current carts used for rolling the
bleachers out of the way. The grid work designed for
covering the pool observation windows was discussed a
length. Mr. Hettich was asked to come up with another
alternative, perhaps lexan. Following discussion of the
Mezzanine plans and upcoming changes, Mr. Milligan moved to
approve the 30% drawings with the various comments.
Seconded by Mr. Herrnsteen, the motion passed.
3. Main Elementary Roof Repair - Mr. Camardella stated the
architectural firm and the Borough are going to try a 4th

sometime between the middle and end of March.
