Regular meeting: December 6, 1984 @ 6:30 P.M.
Present: Green, Williams, Gondek, Reyes and Cobis. Excused absences
Kortlever. Unexcused absence Rippey.
Minutes of last Regular Meeting, October 11, 1984, read and accepted.
No visitors.
Old Business:
1) Discussed recent repairs to Engine 21, and the fact that the parts
were extremely long in caning from McPhereson. The mechanics told
us that the air problem we are still experiencing can only realis-
tically be cured by the addition of an air compressor to the Fire
House. After some discussion about air compressors, Ed Gondek was as-
signed the task of choosing the correct model and will present his
findings at our next regular meeting.
2) Bingo permit discussed, and tabled while we talk with the Community
Council about fund raising activities.
3) Public hearing on possible name change for Service District sched-
uled for next Regular Meeting, Jan 10.
4) Election of Officers tabled until Jan 10 meeting.
New Business:
1) Cobis moves to purchase Firehose and fittings for Engine 22(new
truck) with an upper limit of $5,000.00. Williams seconds, and
vote was unanimous.
2) Williams presented Mr. Elbe's drainage problems, and board mem-
bers were assigned to investigate the problem in person by our next
meeting. This begins our annual job of compiling a list of repair
jobs for the Spring Construction season.
2) Green moves to list our priorities for the Borough's Capitol Im-
provement Plan list for next fiscal year, Gondek seconds, vote
unanimous. The list is as follows, and in prioritized order:
A) Pave So. Russian Ck. Road up to Panamaroff Ck. Road.
B) Pave Uyak Drive fron end of present paved section to inter-
section with Middle Bay Drive.
C) Pave Middle Bay Drive from Uyak Drive to Kalsin Dr. intersec-
tion.
D) Pave Sargent Ck. Rd. from end of pavement to Firehouse and
pave the Firehouse Driveway.
E) Upgrade top section of Worexns Bay Drive.
AA) Special priority category- Upgrade highway entrances for
both Bell's Flats & Russian Ck. subdivisions to meet State
specs. We will also talk to Mr. Boyd about possible State
involvement.
