1980-09-25 Regular MeetingBELLS FLATS-RUSSIAN CREEK ROAD COMMISSION Meeting September 25, 1980 Called to order at 6:45 p.m. Members present: Glenn Mathes Spencer Schaeffer James Cobis Minutes from the last three meetings were approved. We prepared the minutes for the typist and approved them as written. Jim Cobis presented our current budget balance before paying for order 80-002 and 80-003 and the 18" driveway culvert. The balance is $80,981.00. A discussion took place regarding the outcome of the Borough work session on Saturday, September 20. Glenn Mathes moved to delay ordering project 80-004 pending a decision by the Borough Assembly on how the Supervisory Board will conduct their business. The motion was seconded by Jim Cobis and passed unanimously on a voice vote. Vice -Chairperson Report - Alaknek has been contacted, and KEA has located the power lines to coincide with the installation of order 80-002. Mr. Eckland has been contacted about the proper placement of the bridge 80-001 in accordance with Borough plats. Mr. Eckland will look into the matter and contact us. The checks for the 18" driveway culvert shall be made out to the Kodiak Island Borough made payable to the Bells Flats Service Area general fund. A discussion was held of the newly paved portion of Sargent Creek Road. Fifty percent of the gravel will be allocated to Wash. Mechanical. The other 50% will be deposited and spread on the Bells Flats road system.by Wash. Mechanical. Specifically: Russian Creek Road, Woman's Bay Drive, the corner of S. Russian Creek Road and Panimaroff Drive. The cost of the above will be the responsibility of Wash. Mechanical. This is not to be construed as license for the Bells Flats Advisory Board to sell gravel. The sole intent is the timely upgrading of the Borough road system.
