Regular meeting: January 9, 1986 @ 7:30 P.M.
Present: Williams, Berry, Gondek, Comstock and Cobis.
Visitors: Bob Tarrant ( Community Council)
Minutes of last regular meeting, November 11, 1985, read and OK.
Chair report:
1- Contractor will itemize bills in the future, and Chairman
reports that our Contractor has been very ammenable.
2- Brushing started on Sargent Ck Road, going back 6' from
the road's edge, and up to 12' on bad curves. Everything
up to 6" in diameter goes. $672.00 spent so far.:
3- Chairman has been going over the last four years budgets,
and has some round numbers for us to study for next meeting,
which will be devoted to working on the Budget.
Grading- $20,000.00 Snow removal- $16,000.00 to
Water truck- $4,000.00 $27,000.00
Gravel & fill- $8,000.00 Street lights-$7,200.00
C.M.P. work- $9,000.00 (6 lights cost $50.00/month
for power)
*Tentative locations for street lights: two main road exits,
and four bus stops.
4- We need to find an electrician in the Community who will try
to adjust timer for Firehouse yard lights.
Old Business:
1- Comstock will have S. Russian Ck Road flagged for brushing
ASAP.
2- Williams and Tarrant brought us up to speed on the Sewer
Rehabilitation project; highlights included a Mr. Eng from
D.E.C. who, with Dave Thompson and Bob Tarrant, inspected
several of the manholes, and sent a letter to the Community
Council advising that a "Feasibility Study" must be done as
our next step. Williams peesented a letter he had drafted
for sending to Mayor Selby asking for the Borough's help
in aquiring funding to do the Feasibility Study.
Cobis moves to submit letter to Mayor Selby, Berry seconds,
Discussion: Comstock feels we should pursue Public Water
first.
Four yes, one abstention(Comstock), motion passes.
Cobis thanks Tarrant and Williams for their time and energy
devoted to a project that could benefit the whole Community.

New Business:
1- Cobis presents bill for restretching carpet in Firehouse Apt.
Cost was $170.00
2- Cobis has recieved a verbal resignation from Rippey, and reques-
ted it in writing. Schaeffer has declined to be re -appointed, so
we are looking for two people to take their places.
3- Cobis moves to supply several loads of Rip -Rap to block en-
trance to Russian River Park in conjunction with the Borough's
plans to evacuate transients who are currently camping there.
Cobis reports that this will also fit in with Community and
Borough Parks & Rec Committee's plans to develop the park in
the near future. Discussion: blocking driveway should be ac-
companied by liberal Posting of the area. Vote unanimous.
Bud Cassidy will the contact man at the Borough.
4- We need to get a couple estimates on paving S. Russian Ck Rd.
Chair will pursue.
5- Berry will submit a letter to the next Community Newsletter
on Service District activities, present and future. He will
mention that we are now working on our Budget, and are open
for Public comment.
6- Uyak Drive & Ugak Drive present a problem in Emergency res-
ponse, and Fire Chief wants to change name of one or the other.
Gor.dek will pursue matter, and report back to us.
7- Ucak Drive needs some quick action on glaciation, and it is
not being graded, probably due to new grader operator. Chair
will pursue immediately.
8- Noch Drive Loop is not being plowed, due to Haywire's chain.
Comstock reports that the chain is down to stay. Berry and
Cobis will inspect Monday.
Next meeting will be "Budget Time", and will be on Feb 13, at
7:30 P.M. @ the Firehouse.
Berry moves to adjourn, Williams seconds, vote unanimous.
