Minutes - Service District No. 1 - May 7, 1984
Scott Arndt called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. with only himself and Pat Szabo
present and explained that the meeting was being held to discuss the preliminary plans
for extension of the sewer at the end of Spruce Cape and the proposed water and sewer
improvements for Crestview Subdivision and Miller Point First Addition:
Spruce Cape Sewer - Jack Leet presented the plans for this area and explained
that it was felt that the most feasible method to serve the six developed
properties was with a low pressure sewer system.
Mrs. Cobban, owner of Lot 11, USS 3101 asked why no sewage pump was shown for
her property. Scott responded that since the property was not being used for
residential purposes no pump would be provided and suggested that she write a
letter to the Advisory Board setting forth all the facts if she desires to be
provided with a pump.
Sid Omlid stated that he had a rental house on Lot 25, USS 3101 and was told
that a separate sewage pump would be provided in that case.
Scott requested that URS investigate the possibility of increasing the size
of the pressure line from 2" to 4" in order to facilitate development of
vacant land at the end of Spruce Cape.
Crestview Subdivision and Miller Point First Addition - Jack Leet presented
the preliminary plans for this area and explained that the only area with any
question of method of service would be Lots 5 through 7B of Crestview
Subdivision. If it is possible to obtain an easement through Tracts U and V,
USS 3218 and install a gravity sewer without having to construct a road, those
lots will be served by a gravity sewer on the rear of the lots.
There being no controversial questions related to the designs presented, Mr. Arndt
and Mrs. Szabo instructed staff to proceed with the designs as presented and
requested that final plans for completion of Spruce Cape and the Mission Lake area
be reviewed by the Advisory Board at a meeting to be held on June 4, 1984 at
7:30 p.m. in Conference Room 1.
