1987-03-03 Regular Meetingr, r Kodiak Island Borough SERVICE DISTRICT NO. 1 BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MARCH 3, 1987 REGULAR MEETING Minutes Chairman Scott Arndt called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. with the following members present: Jim Fisk Okey Chandler Earl Smith Pat Szabo Also present were Dave Crowe and Dan Millard of the Borough staff. 1. Approval.of Minutes. Jim Fisk moved that the minutes of the February 2 regular meeting be approved as submitted. The motion was seconded by.Earl Smith and carried unanimously. Board member Tony Perez arrived at 7:35 p.m. _ 2. Barrett Appeal. Pat Szabo moved that based on the Borough Assembly's ruling that the Service District would furnish and install, at its expense, a grinder pump for Bruce Barrett's lot in Woodland Acres, and based on the similar circumstances faced by Jerry Matson's property on Spruce Cape Road, the Service District furnish and install a grinder pump on the Matson property. The motion was seconded by.Jim 'Fisk and passed unanimously. 3. Tweeten Request for Traffic Signs on Selief Lane. Chairman Scott Arndt discussed an oral request from Donene Tweeten for a speed sign on the new section of Selief Lane. It was agreed that since the Borough had no police powers in the matter, the Service District should not install signs that it could not enforce. 4. Budget Proposals for FY 1987-88. The Board discussed proposals for water, sewer and road maintenance budgets for FY 1988. A public hearing on the budgets will be held March 24. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m. Scott Arndt, Chairman
