RESOLUTION NO. FY2025-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH DESIGNATING
THE INDIVIDUAL WHO WILL SERVE AS THE DESIGNATED ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICIAL
DURING THE ABSENCE OR DISABILITY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH MANAGER
WHEREAS, it is essential to establish a definitive procedure for administration to address
emergencies or urgent matters during the absence or disability of the Borough manager; and
WHEREAS, KIBC 2.45.080 states that the administrative official is nominated by the Borough
manager and designated by assembly resolution confirming the nomination to act as manager
during the manager's absence or disability; and
WHEREAS, Borough Manager Aimee Williams nominates Assessing Department Director
Seema Garoutte to serve as the designated administrative official during her absence or disability.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
BOROUGH that Assessing Department Director Seema Garoutte is officially designated and
confirmed to be the designated administrative official who is authorized to act and serve as
manager during the manager's absence or disability, and she shall perform the official duties as
outlined in KIBC 2.45.100.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that compensation, as outlined in KIBC
2.45.110, will be provided to the designated administrative official for fulfilling the additional
responsibilities associated with the assignment when called upon to fulfill the duties of the
manager's position.
