VI. OLD BUSINESS
A. ZONING
1. Z-79-048. A request to amend Title 17 to allow the outdoor storage of
commercial fishing gear in all residential zoning districts as an accessory
use. (P & Z Commission)
Mrs. Crowe in favor of postponing to a later meeting, but we should hear
the people who are here to speak. All in favor.
Mr. Pugh closed the special meeting and opened the work session.
After hearing ideas on crab pot storage Mr. Pugh closed the work session
and opened the special meeting.
2. Z-79-060 and Z-79-060 (a). A request to amend the Comperhensive Land Use
Plan from public open space and light industrial to industrial, involving
some 70.80 acres located adjacent to the Kodiak Municipal airport, Beaver
Lake and Dark Lake. And a request to rezone certain properties within
USS 3467 and USS 3468 from unclassified to industrial, the lands are
owned and controlled by the City of Kodiak and Kodiak Island Borough.
Discussion between Mr. Milligan and the Commission on the girl scout lease.
Mrs. Crowe in favor of Dostooninq action to a later meetinq but to hear
Mr. Pugh closed the special meeting and opened the work session.
After hearing ideas and complaints from the people Mr. Pugh closed the
work session and opened the special meeting.

Discussion between the Commission and Mr. Milligan.
The Commission directed Mr. Milligan to write a letter to the Borough
Assembly on the girl scout lease.

B. LAND LEASES
1. LL-79-004. A request for a Borough Land Lease for sanitary land fill,
ADL 44355. (City of Kodiak)
Mr. Perez moved to remove this request from the table. Seconded by
Mr. Ball. Motion PASSED by roll call vote.
STAFF REPORT: Mr. Milligan presented the staff report based on a
memorandum prepared by the planning department.
Discussion between Commission and Mr. Milligan.
Mrs. Crowe moved to recommend to the Borough Assembly to approve a leas
for a period of one year with the option to lease again after the lease
has expired also with the recommendation that some of the lands be used

Mrs. Crowe moved that we recommend a preliminary subdivision of Near
Island into Tracts "A -I". Seconded by Mr. Perez. Motion PASSED by
unanimous roll call vote.

4. Z-80-005. An amendment to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan from Con-
servation to business and industrial. (City of Kodiak)
STAFF REPORT: Mr. Milligan presented the staff report based on a memo-
randum prepared by the planning department.
Mr. Perez moved that Z-80-005 an amendment to the Comprehensive Land Use
Plan from Conservation to business and industrial be approved.

Mr. Ball moved that we bring this up at our next immediate work session and
have it back on the floor for our next regular meeting. Seconded by [1r.

Mr. Erwin - roadway by Lilly Lake airfield and parking by Kodiak Pizza.
Mr. Baker - parking by Sealand building, employees take all the parking.
Mr. Perez - parking at the Kodiak Inn bring up at a work session.
Mrs. Crowe - Cities proposed plans for the 70.80 acres by the airport by
February 6, 1980 during our work session.
