The meeting was called to order by Chairman Carl Huer, at 7:30 P.11. in the
Jury Room of the State Office Building, Kodiak, Alaska.

concerning these minutes.

A. Public Hearing on Request for Vacation of Alleyway betzaeen Lots 21 and 22,
Block 3, Allman Addition (Case 233 A) James Garoutte. A resume was given
by Chairman Huer, noting that this vacation xras being submitted at the
request of the City of Kodiak and the Alleyway was not in use as an
alleyway and that in fact Mr. Garoutte°s residence was in a portion of
the alleyway and had been for several years. Br. Wris moved for approval
of the vacation request, seconded by Iir. ',9elch. The regular meeting was
closed and Fablic hearing opened. There being no comments from the audience
the public hearing was closed and the regular meeting reconvened. The
question was called for and motion passed by unanimous roll call vote.

A. LIr. Welch re Proposed Fifty-five year lease in the Bells Flats area. It
was noted that this has been turned over to the Borough Attorney for possible:
changes in the present land leasing ordinance. The Planning & Zoning
Ca mission was asked to consider the proposed land use under a submitted
r lease rEguest from 1•1r. Brasie, this consideration requested by Assemblyman
Jackson. The proposed uses are for building of a steak house, cocktail
lounge and trailer court. The Commission should then prepare a rec o mendatic
on this matter in the form a memorandum to the Borough Assembly.
