Courtroom of the State Office Building, Kodiak, Alaska.

A. Assembly - Regular meeting - November loth, 1970 - There were no comments

A. Ietter to Borough from Sanitarian re Trailer Court Location, read in full
by e C rman, stating that lot 1, Blockof U.S. Survey 2843 had been
inspected and met the requirements of the State of Alaska for a trailer court.
The Borough Clerk explained to the Ccmmission that an application for such
r a trailer court had not been received and would like to have the Commission
inspect the location and offer any recommendations. After discussion on the
requirements for establishing a trailer court, ;ir. Constance moved that a

Letter from Department of Fish & Game re Land in Bells Flats Subdivision to
be reserved for Public Use, read by the Chairman, indicating a desire by
the -Fish & Game Department to have Tract "G" of the Bells Flats Subdivision

moved that the request be approved in setting aside "Tract G" as recreation

MI ZONING.
A. Letter from Oluf Cmlid re Set Back Variance - Lot 10, U.S. Survey 3101 (renewer
read by the Chairman requesting that approval be given for a renewal of the
variance acquired last year and i:-hich expired in June, 1970. It was noted
that this request had been reviewed previously arr3 a public hearing had been
held prior to granting the variance request. During the discussion it was
pointed out that there would be ample roan for the road -right-of-way.
Mr. Edris moved to grant the renewal of the set -back variance, seconded by
flr. L•re=in, motion passed by unanimous voice vote.

A. 11r. Walker gave a short resume of the new proposed State highway and the
different corridors that were being considered. Ariap was studied in order
that the Planning & Zoning Ccrmission would be acrare of the situation.
The Commission was further advised as to the date of the public hearing
to be held on December 8, 1970, at which time a detailed report would be
given concerning the problotns and solutions on each route.
