1964-06-03 Regular Meeting'11*� PLANNING AND ZONING COMMIS;. .,N REGULAR MEETING JUNE 3, 1964 —The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. in the Court Room by Chairman A. H. Johnson ommissioners present: N. Sutliff, H. Felton, B. Smith, W. Lamme, 0. Johnson, W. Kraft J. Duros Also present: Roy Madsen, E. Metzgar, J. Tusvik and C. McLean The first draft of the Planning & Zoning Ordinances were completed. A proposal was submitted by Mr. E. H. Metzgar who with his associates plan to build a motel on Lots 20 through 25 of the Thorsheim Subdivision. Mr. J. Barr sent a letter recommending we approve Mr. Metzgerts motel development. Commissioner 0. Johnson made the motion that Mr. Metzger's proposal be accepted, seconded by Commissioner Felton. The motion unanimously carried by a voice vote. A petition submitted by Carl H. Gronn, Nina Gronn, Lloyd W. Cannon and Patricia M. Cannon for the vacation of the unnamed street lying between Lot 25, 24 and 23 and Lots 26 and 27 of the Brant Thorsheim Subdivision of Lot 18 Block 16, Kodiak Townsite. Commissioner Kraft made the motion we approve this petition, seconded by Commissioner Lamme. Carried. Chairman Johnson read a letter from Albert E. Dorton requesting approval to move a small shop from Lot 27, Block 1 to Lot 13 Block 1 to be used on a temporary basis. Commissioner Kraft moved that Mr. Dorton's request be approved, seconded by Commissioner Lamme. The ,,._.The motion was carriedyuan4ffio s3,3c by a voice vote. Ion Slaymaker and Don Slater submitted for approval re -subdivision of Lots 63 through 67, Erskine Subdivision. Mr. J. Barr, City Engineer, sent his recommendation by letter to approve this. Commissioner N. Sutliff made the motion to approve the re -subdivision seconded by Commissioner Johnson. Peter Larionoff submitted a request to erect an accessory building. A discussion followed. Commissioner Felton made the motion to approve his request. Seconded by 0. Johnson and. unanimously carried by a voice vote. Mr. Chas. McLean requested approval to move his house from Lot 7 Block 3 to Lot 6, Block 3. L Johnson moved the Commission approve his request; seconded by Commissioner Smith. H-L y �- Air Park Subdivision submitted for approval the widening of Mill Bay Road 301 going through Air Park Subdivision. Commissioner J. Duros made the motion to approve their request, seconded by Commissioner Johnson and unanimously carried. Commissioner Smith made the motion to advise the Borough Assembly that a Building Inspector be appointed for Kodiak and the Immediate Environments and if possible we utilize the Building Official for the City. Seconded by Commissioner Johnson and unanimously carried by a voice vote. Jommissioner Kraft moved the meeting be adjourned at 9:30 p.m. Seconded by W. Lamme.
