The minutes of the previous meeting of P & Z on kiTay 26, 1965 were read and
approved.
Connissioner Sutliff moved that the final subdivision of Lot 29, USS 3096
as submitted by Broan mls- Rousemoving be approved subject to copnipletion of
necessary affidavits. Sezouded by Comm ssioner Anderson and carried unanimously*
Mrs. Best requested that the George Rurke subdivision of Lot 16, USS 3098 be
changed from a request for final approval to preliminary.. Larry Sickles, State
Sanitarian, appeared and stated that there was ample area for sewage disposal,
but that water would be a problem. Comm'ssioner Franklin moved that the request
for subdivision variance be approved. Besonde d by Commissioner Duros and carried
unanimously.
Mr. Best requested that the resubdivision request for Lot 8, USO; 3103 be
changed fror, final to prelindinary since the requirements for final plat had not
been met. Cormlissioner Juelson iii-oved that the prelind"nary plat be approved*

Borough in USS 3469 was read. They were asked to submit a request for a specific

piece of property -outside- -Of Survey -3469 and several sites were suggested such as
USS 3511
Paul Stover asked if the ConrA-ssion planned to take any action on the City's
request to roe the State Ilighway from the present location to the original site
on the cutoff road in USS 3469. No furt4er act -ion was taken&
Commissioner Franklin moved that the CormLi&sion most vigorously protest the pro-
posed elimination of the State Sanitarian position in !Kodiak because of the
extremely critical need at the present time in the residential area where there its
extrexaely rapid grovAh.; the business area iAaere there is a complete renewal of all
structures, and especially in the industrial .area where the laargest seafood pack
will be processed without any sanitary supervision e-zxrept industry controlled.
