The meeting was called to order at 7.L40 p.m, at the Courtroom by Chairman Johnson.

The ..mutes of the Special Meeting of Ftb-ruary 1-0, 1965, were approved as received.
Engineer Barr presented the Prel-Lnu[nary- Plat for Blocks 4,5,6, and 8 of the Urban
Renewal area shown on drawing number AHk650215BO. A lengthy discussion followed
in which the "in criticism was the la,�,__k of, unloading areas for Blocks 5 and 8.

road in the rear of Block 2 as pre. -sented on a prplai-ndinary sketch by James R. Barr,
Consulting Engineer. Seconded by Commissioner Duros and carried.
Al Borton's building request -has returned because of a lack of information and
drawings regard-Ing the proposed bulilding,, The Commission requests that Mr. Borton
be present to answer questions at the next meeting.
A lektter from Mr. Sickl!as, State Sanitarian, regarding Herman Vest's Lot 12, USS 3101
was read. Mr. 'Vest will have to resubmit a subdivision to meet the requirements of
Mr. Sicklesletter before further consideration by the CoMnission.
. Mr. Lou Hopkins was present requesting information and attitudes with regards to
a 42 unit apartment development an Lot 28 of ASS 3098. It was suggested that
he petition the orsionfir a zoning variance at the next- regular meeting
Attorney Madsen recommended. --that Alaska State Housing Authority be requested to
submit a petition fox the resubdi- plat, and the street vacation of the
Urban Renewal area concury.-ently so that only one advertisement and public hearing
