The project will consist of bid documents for demolition of the existing wood stairs and replacement with new stairs constructed of galvanized steel. Please see PND's attached proposal for more detailed deliverable information. JYW will provide project management as well as front-end specifications to allow for a full bid of the project, which is estimated to cost more than $50,000. Exclusions: • Cost estimation is not included at this time. As -built information of the existing stairs will be provided by KIB staff. Limited construction administration services are included as described in PND's proposal. Full CA, including special inspections, are not included at this time. (PND) appreciates the opportunity to provide structural design for new stairs at Mill Bay in Kodiak. The existing wood stairs will be demolished and a new galvanized steel stair is desired. PND drawings will be prepared in AutoCAD and will be suitable for building permit application, soliciting quotes from material suppliers, and for construction. Specifications will be included as structural general notes shown on the drawings. Assumptions included in this fee proposal include the following: j• Deliverables are limited to a final 100% design submittal. No intermediate submittals are included in this fee proposal. • The new stairs will match the geometry of the existing wood stairs. • Site visits during design or construction are not included in this fee proposal. It is also assumed that the existing wood stairs will be as -built by the owner. It is also assumed that the owner will perform inspection during construction. • Construction administration services included in this fee proposal are limited to review of steel shop drawings and minimal time for responding to RFI's. PND proposes to perform the above outlined services on a time and expense basis for $6,500. Thank you for considering PND.
