Please see PND's attached proposal for more detailed deliverable information as well as a sketch of the proposed design. JYW will provide project management as well as front-end specifications to allow for a full bid of the project, which is estimated to cost more than $50,000. Exclusions: • Cost estimation is not included at this time. • Bidding and construction administration services, including special inspections, are not included at this time. (PND) appreciates the opportunity to assist Jensen Yorba Wall QYW) on the Kodiak Baler Building Scale Shack project. We understand that the owner, Kodiak Island Borough (KIB), would Eke to add two steel -framed platforms at the scale shack. You would like PND to provide structural engineering design services. KIB would like two steel -framed platforms per the attached conceptual plan. One of the platforms will have a set of stairs and both will have guardrails on open ends. PND will provide a 65% design submittal for review. Following KIB review of the 65% design submittal, PND will prepare a 100% design submittal. Plans will be prepared in AutoCAD and will be suitable for building permit application, soliciting quotes from material suppliers, and for construction. Specifications will be included as structural general notes on the drawings. PND's scope of services will not include: A) Surveying. We assume KIB can provide spot elevations as required to finalize the design. B) Code review. We assume JYW would provide code review for the platforms including ADA requirements. C) Cost estimating D) Construction administration and special inspection. A fee proposal can be provided for these services if desired. Fees PND proposes to perform the above outlined services for a fixed fee of $14,000.
