A RESOLUTION OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH APPOINTING 9
THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ATTORNEY 10

WHEREAS, KIBC 2.65.020 states that the Assembly shall appoint the borough attorney by 12
resolution; and 13

WHEREAS, after soliciting letter of interests, the Assembly interviewed four attorneys; and 15
16
WHEREAS, after an executive session on October 12, 2018, the Assembly directed staff to 17
start the negotiation process with Scott Brandt-Erichsen of Keene & Currall; and 18

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND 20
BOROUGH that this resolution herewith names Scott Brant-Erichsen as borough attorney. 21

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH 23
that the borough manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Mr. Erichsen. 24
