A Planning and Zoning Commission Regular Meeting of the Kodiak Island Borough
Assembly waws held on September 21, 2022, in the Borough Assembly Chambers,
710 Mill Bay Road of the Kodiak Island Borough Building, 710 Mill Bay Road. The
meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
Present were Alan Schmitt, Paul VanDyke, Kent Cross, Linnea Johnson, Cort Neff,
Christopher Paulson and Laura Griffin

Cross moves to approve the variance for East Addition, BK 55, Lots 1 & 2, commonly
known as 1818 E, Rezanof Drive, for the development of an illuminated cabinet sign that
shall be lighted up to 24 hours a day year-round and shall be no greater than 50 square
feet in size, to be located on the front of the building facade at a height no greater than
13 feet.

Cross moves to adopt Resolution FY2023-001
VanDyke Seconds Motion
VanDyke moves to amend motion to the P&Z's Work Session CIP List, for the CDD
Suggested list, including items numbered 14 and 15, number 14 Paving Chiniak Highway
for $42 Million and number 15 West Rezanof Drive Pedestrian for $5 Million.
Cross Seconds amended motion.
VanDyke moves to amend motion to move item number 12 Anton Larsen Bay Road
Extension to Ice Free Water, to item number 15, moving the rest of list down.
Neff Seconds Motion.

upcoming Subdivision
• Griffin thanks the Commission for their welcome
