Approval of the minutes by unanimous vote for the Regular Meeting of November 10, 2020. Citizen Comments: None Contractor Comments : Kevin Arndt. 1. Temp fill 3 potholes at entrance to S Russ Ck Rd. Asphalt approx 1.5 in thick at that spot. 2. Large pothole at bottom of Otter filled in 3. Did limited ditching on Mid Bay Dr just past Kalsin turnoff. 4. Did some snow plowing and ice control as per call outs. Chairman's Reoort 1. Work Orders; on weather hold 2. Budget a. FD at 8% expended to date. b. Road Service at approx 55% expended with pending invoices included. Old Business 1. Fire Service a. Brush Fire Truck; RFP being developed. b. Gear/shelving rack; Received and 2 are in use. 2 others came damaged, but minor repairs will put them into service also. c. Shelter Supplies coming from Red Cross, pends co-ordination with Wom- ens Bay Community Council. WOMENS BAY SERVICE AREA BOARD REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 2. Road Service a. Mid. Bay Ditching comparison pends appropriate weather conditions. b. Letters i. Letter re:Sgt Ck Rd flooding at the Chiniak Highway; D Conrad had a meeting with Mark Hickey the KIB Lobbyist. MH suggested the SAB do an engineering study and create an action plan to push forward to KIB and State DOT; DC will try to piggyback effort during Salonie Creek survey by an off island firm. c. Motioned and passed to hire a hydrology study NTE l0k for Sgt Ck En- trance issue. See b (i) above. New Business 1. Fire Department; a. Motion approved to apply for Volunteer Fire Assistance matching Grant from the Div of Forestry, to repair Fire Hall siding damage resulting from storm. 2. Road Service a. Contractor call out procedures discussed; JC drives roads early when he thinks there is concern, and calls as needed as well as soliciting input from fellow board members. b. We need to apply for permit to clean out certain culvert intakes in Anadromous Streams in June and July. c. Budgeting process FY2022 to begin in February, meetings to be scheduled Feb. 2 and Feb 16. DH will notify the Clerk for posting notices. d. Some concern over Mill Rate issues and possible pressure from KIB to reduce service to our area. No action taken. e. Complaints received re: gravel puncturing tires, no action taking as this gravel has been the standard in use for years and has been found to stay in place on the traffic lanes the best of all the available materials.
