Welcome and Introductions
CHAIR MULLICAN called to order the quarterly meeting of the Local Emergency Planning
Committee at 1:32 p.m.

A. Incident Command System (ICS) Training
CHAIR MULLICAN gave a brief update and encouraged everyone to take the training.
B. Tsunami Evacuation Map Update
Tom Quass stated that we finally got the evacuation map finished. He has not got quotes for
printing the brochure and he does not know how much money is in the LEPC account.
Kathrynn Hollis -Buchanan MOVED to approve and move forward on it.
Jason Bishop MOVED TO AMEND the motion to expend up to $600 to print.

C. 2019 Crabfest LEPC Emergency Preparedness Outreach Booth
Quass stated that the LEPC will have a static display at Crabfest and Bill Morrow will be
manning it.
D. Emergency Preparedness Media Campaign
Quass stated that we will be continuing with the radio ads.
New Business
A. Alaska Shield 2019 Update
CHAIR MULLICAN gave an update on the Alaska Shield exercise.
B. NOAA NWS presentation for Emergency Alert System (Chief Mullican)
Mullican explained the slides as the committee watched the presentation.
