KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH SPECIAL ASSEMBLY MEETING-OCTOBER 27, 1979

I CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by ;Mayor Betty J. Wallin at
1:00 P.M. in the Borough Assembly Chambers.

Mayor Wallin stated that Mr. Jack was working. Hearing no objection
ordered excused. Mayor stated Mr. Herrnsteen was fishing; hearing
no objection, ordered excused. A quorum was established.
III ITEM OF BUSINESS
A. Resolution #'79-56-R Ratification October 23, 1979 Run -Off
Election. Mayor Wallin read memo from Borough Clerk. Mr. Peotter
moved to reject the Carl David Oberg ballot, accept the four
valid questioned ballots, three valid challenged ballots and the
fourteen valid absentee ballots. Seconded by Mr. Ogg. Notion
carried by unanimous roll call vote.
The absentee, challenged and questioned ballots were opened and
counted by the members of the Assembly. Mayor Wallin read
Resolution #79-56-R ratifying and confirming the results of the
October 23, 1979 run-off election. Mr. Ogg moved for adoption
of Resolution #79-56-R. Seconded by Mr. Hansen. Motion carried
by unanimous roll call vote.
A five-minute recess was called. Meeting reconvened. The
Borough Clerk administered the Oath of Office to the newly
elected assembly member, Mr. Patrick H. Cannon, Jr.
Mayor Wallin, on behalf of herself and the assembly, thanked
Dr. Michael Emmick for his conscientious and unselfish service
to the Kodiak Island Borough and its people.
