Regular Meeting Minutes
Tuesday, December 4, 2018
Call to Order:
Conrad called the meeting to order at 7:13pm.

Agenda Approval:
Motion to approve agenda — Ecret, Seconded by Isadore. Motion passed
unanimously.
Citizens Comments:
Hegland requested that the log in the ditch on Kalsin, across form her driveway be
removed. In addition, she requested that the gravel be cleaned out at the Middle
Bay Drive guardrail to allow for drainage.
Contractor Comments:
All work orders have been completed. Awaiting cold patch to continue patching
potholes as they are reported.
Chairman's Report:
Road and Fire Department expenditures were reviewed and discussed.
Complaints regarding Middle Bay Drive drainage and glaciers were received.
Complaints on the recent ditching and storm water concerns were received.
Old Business:
Fire Department:
• Fire Hall Exterior Lights: 90% Completed. One remaining light to be
installed
• Community Center Rental Agreement: In process
• Parking Lot Upgrade: 90% Completed — slight grade issue to ensure
drainage
• Exterior Bulletin Boards: 50% Completed
Road Service:
• Pothole Patch Update: Waiting on cold patch / weather
• Staging Area Lot: Minor clean up required
• FY20 Priority List Upgrade: Need to incorporate FY19 remaining items
into new fiscal year planning. Start thinking about priorities and do they
need to be changed.
New Business:
Fire Department:
• Budget: A brief discussion regarding the upcoming budget process was
held.
• Expenditure Request: Conrad requested permission to expend up to
$30,000 for shelter materials (cots, blankets, sleeping bags, etc.) to begin
stocking the shelter. Also procure hardware items that the fire department
could share in event of a disaster (update generators, portable lights, PPE,
etc.)
Motion: Expend up to $30,000 for Shelter and fie equipment to begin
stocking the community shelter — Lee, Ecret seconded. Voice vote —
unanimous
Road Service:
• No work orders to be issued until further into the winter season
• Brief discussion regarding summer work and upcoming budget process
Board members comments:
Ecret — Bells Flats Road has been mush. Need to discuss placing rock for next
spring.
Isadore — Discussed length of time expended to perform sanding roads. Too much
time due to contractor not having stock pile in the service area.
Conrad — discussed that the contractor does not appear to have the contract
equipment listed available to the road service area
