1981-11-20 Regular Meeting..Arghitectural Reyiew.Board - Minutes - November 20, 1981 • 4 Chairman Wayne Coleman called the Architectural Review Board to order on Friday, November 20, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. in order to continue the review of the Requests for Proposals submitted;in conjunction with the Island Lake Water and Sewer project. The following persons were in attendance: Phil Shealy Scott Arndt Dave Crowe Jim Olson Art Bors Wayne Coleman Ron Chase Larry Chickering Ed Kozak Herman Baukers Bill Behm The group reviewed the following eight RPFs from the original fourteen submitted and reviewed on November 12th. The included: 1. Bell, Herring $ Associates (JV with Collins 4 Ryder) 2. CH2M Hill 3. International Engineering Co., Inc. 4. Kramer, Chin $'Mayo S. PRC Consoeur Townsend, Inc. 6. URS Company 7. USKH 8. VECO, Inc. (JV with Arctic Engineers, Inc.) Considerable discussion followed and Mr. Crowe reviewed the staff's reference check indicating the numerical score obtained from averaging response from owners and/or contractors. In polling the members of the group, it was the consensus to invite the following four firms to make fifty minute presentations in the school library: 1. CH2M Hill 2. Kramer, Chin $ Mayo 3. PRC Consoeur Townsend, Inc. 4. URS Company Mr. Crowe also reported that CTA will present working drawings on the High School swimming pool on December 14th at 7:30 p.m. in the School District conference Room. He also noted that CTA will hold a public meeting on the multi-purpose facility at 7:30 p.m. in the High School library. In addition CTA will hold a public meeting on the total Upper Mill Bay Complex development plan on December 15th in the High School library covering not only the multi-purpose facility but the entire project. Mr. Coleman then noted that seven proposals had been received in response to the RFP for the hospital project and the group agreed to meeting on Tuesday, December 1, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. in the Borough conference room to review these proposdls. The group further agreed that the formal presentations in response to the Island Lake project will be made at 6:00 p.m. in the High School library on December 2, 1981 the presenta- tions to be in alphabetical order on the hour with ten minutes in between presentations. Mr. Shealy was instructed to contact the applicants to notify them of the presentations as well as those applicants that had been eliminated to date. The committee also asked for a telephone reminder before each meeting.
