A) Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Plan Review — Update
Quass stated this plan has been in two packets now. It's his understanding that this evening we
want to get a feel for how we want to go and how we want to proceed. We talked in the borough
meetings that we want to come up with one that is similar to the one that was done back then.
Tonight you can decide whether you want to go forward to try to start collecting data. His
understanding in talking to the borough group here our focus is to look at the parks and
recreation side as far as what we can change. We were looking at the infrastructures as far as
places to recreate. Termination Point is new for us because now we have to do something to
have some kind of control over it, the borough does. He thinks the last trail study was done in
2004. He recommended everyone read the plan through at some point.
Discussion of fields, parks, trails, Coast Guard, and what the needs could be.

In response to CHAIR SALTONSTALL'S inquiry of how is it going to get written, Quass stated
basically as we go through it, take this plan, and first we have to figure out where we are. With
that is the data points for usage because the borough doesn't put any programs on. The trails is
a separate thing, we have the Trails Plan.
