ROLL CALL Board Members present were Chair Scott Arndt, Bill Barton, Cliff Ford, Jerrol Friend, and Colin Young. Also present was Matt Gandel, KIB Project Manager/Inspector and Kat Peters, KIB Projects Assistant, and Ex-Officios Dave Townsend. Tony Yorba from Jensen Yorba Lott (JYL) was present telephonically. A QUORUM WAS ESTABLISHED. APPROVAL OF AGENDA FRIEND moved to approve the agenda. VOICE VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. REVIEW OF 95% DRAWINGS FOR BALER BUILDING ROOF REPLACEMENT Tony Yorba (JYL) reviewed the changes to the drawings incorporating previous ARB comments. Discussion ensued. Noted changes will be reviewed and incorporated into the bid drawings. YOUNG moved to approve the 95% documents for the Baler Building Roof Replacement. ROLL CALL VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. REVIEW OF 95% DRAWINGS FOR BALER BUILDING SIDING REPLACEMENT Tony Yorba (JYL) reviewed the changes to the drawings incorporating previous ARB comments. Discussion ensued. PUBLIC COMMENTS None Architectural/Engineering Review Board June 6, 2017 Regular Meeting Page 1 of 2 ARCHITECTURALIENGINEERING REVIEW BOARD REGULAR MEETING June 6, 2017, 5:30 p.m. Projects Office Conference Room STAFF COMMENTS rt Matt Gandel provided an update on the Main Elementary School Elevated Walkway Repair project. Both the base bid and alternate bid were awarded, with a total construction cost of $278,000. He also indicated that JYL should have 65% design for the UST Replacement — Main, Old Harbor, Port Lions project; and for the Site Paving - Peterson & KMS and KMS UST Replacement project by the middle of July, the goal would be to have an ARB meeting to review the end of July first part of August. ARNDT asked when the Baler Building would go out to bid; Matt was looking at sometime after Labor Day, it hasn't been determined yet if the roof and siding will go out together. BOARD COMMENTS FRIEND would like to see the ARB review 100% drawings before they go out to bid, to ensure all previous discussion items have been changed, starting with the Baler Building project. TOWNSEND thinks a meeting is necessary to make sure all board members are on the same page. FRIEND suggested a brief lunch time meeting, board members and staff were in agreement. ARNDT would like to see an alternate bid for the canopy over the man door at the front of the building; he doesn't think the current design is cost effective. Leave the canopy over the electrical panels on the south side of the building. ADJOURNMENT FRIEND moved to adjourn the meeting VOICE VOTE ON MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. MEETING ADJOURNED AT 6:54 P.M.
