IV. DISCUSSION OF 100 % DRAWINGS FOR PETERSON SCHOOL ADDITION
Members of the Board reviewed the response from ECl/Flyer to the comments raised in their last meeting. It was
determined that more discussion was needed on the Penthouse floor and the manifold issues. This discussion will be
held at 6 p.m. Thursday,February 26,in the School District Conference Room, following the School Board Special
Meeting.
Bob Tucker noted Dick Armstrong had been on site today and they discussed design features of the roof drains and
overflow drains as shown on M2.1 with the Building Officials. What is shown is designed according to the UBC.
Historically these designs in Kodiak have been based on the UPC(Plumbing Code). If the design were based on the
Plumbing Code instead of the UBC,it would be less expensive The Building Officials are checking on this matter.
Members felt the Penthouse floor discussion from the last meeting might have been misinterpreted in the Architects
letter of response. The question is,can the interior floor of the penthouse be sealed in case of a leak in the Penthouse?
