11 AMENDING TITLE 2 ADMINISTRATION AND PERSONNEL CHAPTER 2.125

13 QUALIFICATIONS

15 WHEREAS, the Architectural /Engineering Review Board is currently served by six members
16 and an Assembly member representative; and
17
18 WHEREAS, the board is served by members who have an interest and a wide range of
19 experience in engineering, architecture, building, plumbing, roofing, electrical installation, and
20 other related fields involving the building business; and
21
22 WHEREAS, this ordinance change will make this board consistent with all the other
23 Assembly boards in which the Assembly member appointed will serve in an ex- officio
24 capacity; and
25
26 WHEREAS, adding another seat will open up opportunities from the public to serve on this
27 board.

29 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KODIAK ISLAND
30 BOROUGH THAT:

32 Section 1: This ordinance is of a general and permanent nature and shall become a part
33 of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances; and

35 Section 2: Ordinance No. FY2013 -08 Amends Title 2 Administration and Personnel
36 Chapter 2.125 Architectural /Engineering Review Board Section 2.125.030
37 Qualifications as follows:
38 2.125.030 Qualifications.
39 Six Seven members of the board shall be residents and qualified voters of the borough and
40 shall have an interest and a wide range of experience in engineering, architecture, building,
41 plumbing, roofing, electrical installation, and other related fields involving the building
