AN ORDINANCE OF THE KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ASSEMBLY
PLACING A BALLOT MEASURE BEFORE THE VOTERS AT
THE OCTOBER 5, 2004 REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION TH T,
IF PASSED BY THE VOTERS, WOULD EXEMPT THE BORO H'S
MUNICIPAL OFFICERS AND CANDIDATES FOR ELECTIVE OFF E OF THE
KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH FROM THE REQUIREMENT OF THE
STATE OF ALASKA PUBLIC OFFICIALS FINANCIAL DISC ' SURE LAW
WHEREAS, Alaska Statutes 39.50.020 requires that public . icials and candidates for
elective office file a statement giving income sources and busi -ss interests; and
WHEREAS, Alaska Statutes 39.50.145 provides that a muni pality may exempt its municipal
officers from the requirements of this chapter if a majority . the voters voting on the question
at a regular election vote to exempt its municipal off .•rs from the requirements of this
chapter; and

The following ballot e- ure shall be submitted to the qualified voters of the
Kodiak Island Borou; .t the October 5, 2004 Regular Municipal Election. The
