1969-19 Rezoning Lot 11 of U.S.Survey 3098AN ORDINANCE REZONING LOT ELEVEN (11) OF U.S. SURVE NO. 3098 FROM PUBLIC TO UNCLASSIFIED WHEREAS, AS 07.15.340 empowers the Borough to enact a zoning ordinance and provide for its administration, enforcement and amendment, and WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough has pursuant thereto adopted Chapter 5 of its Code of Ordinances and Resolutions, which provides for planning and zoning provisions and procedures, and, WHEREAS, according to the comprehensive planning and zoning map adopted by the Kodiak Island Borough, Lot Eleven (11) of U.S. Survey No. 3098 has been classified as public and WHEREAS, the Kodiak Island Borough Planning and Zoning iI Commission has on its own initiative recommended the rezoning of Lot Eleven (11) of U.S. Survey No. 3098 from public for the reason that the same has been leased by to unclassified y the City to a private concern and that this private concern has requested permission to place a trailer thereon as watchman's quarters primarily to protect a large investment in airplanes and to regulate the flow of traffic' for safety purposes and the City has voiced no objections to the area being rezoned but has declined to petition for rezoning on its own and the Planning and Zoning Commission have found that this rezoning is not contrary to the objectives of the plan and further having held a public hearing on the matter of rezoning this propert on June 11, 1969, and no objections having been voiced and it havin been determined that the public necessity, convenience, general welfare and good zoning practice requires such classification, the same being adjacent to and being used in connection with the munici a. airport 'Page ORDINANCE ANCE N O. 69-19-0 KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH ORDINANCE NUMBER 69 -19 -0 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Borough Assembly of the 844abrIsland Borough that Lot Eleven (11) of U.S. Survey No. 3098 new classified as public be and the same is hereby moles. ified as unclassified and that notice of this Ordinance be given by publication in the Kodiak Mirror seven (7) days prior to the second reading and that a public hearing be held thereon on the date of the second reading and that this Ordinance become effective at the expiration of thirty (30) days after its adoption.
