AN ORDINANCE MAKING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS AND DELETIONS WIT
RESPECT TO CHAPTER 3, SUB - CHAPTER 3, SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF THE KODIA
ISLAND BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS BY REPEALING AND
RE- ENACTING CHAPTER 3, SUB - CHAPTER 3, SECTIONS 1 AND 2 THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED by the Kodiak Island Borough Assembly of
the Kodiak Island Borough, State of Alaska, as follows:
Section 1: Chapter 3, Sub - Chapter 3, Sections 1 and 2
of the Kodiak Island Borough Code of Ordinances and Resolutions
is repealed and re- enacted as follows:
Chapter 3, Sub- Chapter 3. Appropriation and Levy
Section 1. Appropriation:
The Borough Assembly shall enact and appropriation
and tax levy ordinance appropriating funds for the
expenses and liabilities of h year
an evying a tax to defray all expenses and lia-
bilities of the Borough for the purposes as specified
against all taxable property in the Borough each year
which appropriation and tax levy ordinance shall be
substantially in the following form:
A. That the following sums of money, or as much
thereof as may be authorized by law, as may be
needed or deemed necessary to defray all expenses
and liabilities of the Borough, be and the same is
hereby appropriated for corporate purposes and
objects of said Borough hereinafter specified for
the fiscal year commencing on the 1st day of July,
19 and ending on the 30th day of June, 19
1. From the general corporate taxes and revenue:
(a) General Administration Department
For salary of Borough President. $
For salary of Borough Secretary
For Office Equipment
For Office expenses including postage
and stationery
For telephone service
For expenses of general and special
elections
For premiums of official bonds and
depository bonds
For auditing Borough Books of Account
For Workman's compensation and Employers
liability insurance
For publishing Legal Notices

For Gas and Oil for vehicles
Dues to Alaska Municipal League

Appropriated for the foregoing expenses of the Department
of General Administration from the tax for general corporat
purposes
(b) Legal Department

Appropriated for the foregoing expenses of the Legal
Department from the tax for general corporate purposes.
(c) Assessment and collection of taxes

Section 2. Tax Levy:
A. A tax for the above sums of money, or as much
thereof as may be authorized by law, to defray all
expenses and liabilities of the Borough be and the
same is hereby levied for the purposes as specified
against alltaxable property in the Borough for the
fiscal year commencing on the 1st day of July, 19 ,
and ending on the 30th day of June, 19
B. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval as required
by law.

Section 3. Tax Statement:
When the Borough has levied the tax, the Assessor shall
prepare and mail tax statements to the persons listed
as the owners on the tax rolls.
